Scholarships Available for 2010
The Colorado Women’s Sports Fund Association expects to award twenty $500 scholarships in calendar year 2010. These scholarships are to encourage athletic participation in all sports to help women and girls achieve “the next level” in their sport. Applicants do not need to be enrolled in any academic school or institution. The scholarships are open to females of any age and for any sport.
Individual females of any age or sport that might require outside funding to: Further develop their skills or participation in any sport or athletic activity. The sport or athletic activity may be associated with enrollment in an institution of higher learning - OR - The sport or athletic activity may be independent of any academic institution.
Applications must be received by January 3, 2010 and will be awarded by February 15, 2010.

These scholarships are courtesy of a grant by the Women’s National Invitational Basketball Tournament, (WNIT).
Any individual or organization that is a recipient of a scholarship or grant will be required to spend the funds in accordance with the proposal set out in the application and the terms of the award. Funds will generally be paid directly to the ultimate recipient such as the organization conducted a clinic or the supplier of equipment; however, where funds are paid directly to an applicant a copy of a receipt or written documentation or report of the use of the funds will be required. Funds that are misused will be subject to recovery by Colorado Women’s Sports Fund Association. The Board of Directors will monitor all outstanding scholarship and grants for compliance.
